Knock-out questions

Using knock-out questions, you ensure that your candidates have the basic requirements needed to get the job.

Knock-out questions are those questions that the candidate MUST answer correctly in order to proceed. In other words, these questions should reflect the basic requirements you have to even apply for the job. This could be certificates or licenses to do the job. Thus, these questions are usually closed questions with “Yes” or “No” answers.

If a candidate answers the question correctly, they move on in the application process. However, if they provide a incorrect answer, the candidate will be automatically disqualified. So it is important that you ask good and correct questions that candidates can easily understand.

It is only after this step that the candidate starts their application and registers their contact details.

You can see the number of candidates who didn't make it pass the knock-out questions under KPIs and Statistics.

Examples of knock-out questions can be

  • Are you over 18 years old? (If the job requires it)
  • Do you have a driving license? (If the job requires it)
  • Are you certified in XX? (If the job requires it)
